Count it down like 4,3,2,1! Seven Day put together a dope video to this banging track. 1,2,3,4 also features Makeshift, Versis and everyone’s homie VerBS. Seven Day’s album CNCPT II has so many hits that I didn’t know which ones were going to become videos. 1,2,3,4 is wild with these cats in P.E./work-out gear jogging around the track, doing pushups, and a guest appearance by a chicken. YES, a chicken! Peep the video and check out Seven Day CNCPT II here. BIG thanks Seven Day for the heads up.

I heard about Sonnyjim from Trek Life playing this track on DJ Buddy TV one night. I had to look this cat up. The Psychonaut is the title track to the LP, but it’s when I heard the Kelatron remix that I put it on repeat. The original track is pretty heavy, but the remix has this nasty dubstep beat. I almost went def cranking up the volume in my headphones. I gotta check out the rest of the LP. Download Sonnyjim – The Psychonaut on BandCamp. BIG thanks Trek.

SONNYJIM – The Psychonaut (Kelatron Remix)
I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes with this album, but I’ll co-sign for NoYork. And from what I hear this isn’t the final version of the album. Well if it’s anything close or above, it’s good in my book. I’ve been listening to Blu’s NoYork for a few days and it has a comfortable awkwardness to it. Let me explain, NoYork feels like a Blu album, but with an experimental kick that works. I mean he’s got Jack Davey, Jimette Rose, Nia Andrews, Ca$hus King, and a gang of other folks featured on here. NoYork, to me seems, like a natural progression that feels new. If that makes any sense or not, check it out for yourself. If it’s still available you can download Blu – NoYork at DefSounds.com. If it’s gone you can also check it out on SoundCloud. When an official version of NoYork drops, BUY IT! BIG thanks to the talented and lovely Dahlia (chief editor for B+C) for the heads up.

Blu – Hours
It’s that time again! Boombox is having their producer showcase, and you know you’re going to get a great lineup. Everyone from new producers stepping out on the scene to your favorite producers will be bumping their latest project. This showcase will have Knxwledge, Jon Wayne (Don’t sleep on this cat!), Stro Elliot, and the homie Aspect One. I hope the speakers can take all the musical goodness that’s about to go down. And the usual suspects: the resident DJs Inka One, Ben Diggin, and Analog. You know it’s going to be a good time. Big thanks to the Boombox crew for keeping it going in LA.
