It’s that time again! Boombox is having their producer showcase, and you know you’re going to get a great lineup. Everyone from new producers stepping out on the scene to your favorite producers will be bumping their latest project. This showcase will have Knxwledge, Jon Wayne (Don’t sleep on this cat!), Stro Elliot, and the homie Aspect One. I hope the speakers can take all the musical goodness that’s about to go down. And the usual suspects: the resident DJs Inka One, Ben Diggin, and Analog. You know it’s going to be a good time. Big thanks to the Boombox crew for keeping it going in LA.

Strictly Social is another LA staple that I’m glad is around. Neo-soul, funk, Hip Hop, world famous DJ’s, and beat makers have blessed the stage many times over. I have had the pleasure of seeing some of my friends perform. I’m glad to be celebrating Strictly Social’s 4thYear Anniversary! August 18th is going to be a party! Nikko Gray and Def Sound are going to be in the building, and the homie Brook D’Leau (J*Dvaey) will be having his debut performance. There’s also guest selector Mic Holden. And the ones you can always count on to play great tunes: resident DJ’s Sean O , Mona Lisa, and Destroyer. Thursday, August 18th is going to be a party! Come on out and celebrate with Strictly Social. BIG thanks to Nu-Soul Magazine for letting B+C be a part. Here’s to making it 4 more years of a great events and great music.

Yes, it’s Boombox time again! August 6th New York and Detroit with LA style is going to turn Chinatown into the party you want to be at. The ambassador of Detroit Hip Hop and LA’s El Capitan on the 1′s and 2′s, House Shoes. You can always count on him to drop some exclusive stuff. Coming off the high of Sucio Smash’ Underground Selects New York’s Sucio Smash is landing in LA and going to set the turntables ablaze. The evening’s guest hosts are from the Cafeteria Line: TiRon & Ayomari.And always in the place to be are your resident DJs Inka One, Ben Diggin, and Analog. The summer is here and Boombox is bringing the heat with their June (4th) guests. From the world famous Beat Junkies, and Dilated Peoples, DJ Babu will be in the building spinning on the 1’s and 2’s! And also spinning, your favorite beat maker and mine, Exile. From Dirty Science to Radio you know some incredible things are going down on the turntable. The special guest host for the evening is aDad from All Natural and Dirty Science. You know you can always count on your resident DJs Inka One, Ben Diggin, and Analog for groovy tunes. It’ll be a party in Chinatown! Come on out and give your ears a treat!

Yes it’s that time again folks….Boombox!!! The Boombox team has come up with a great line up as usual for March. They’ve got Mr. Rhettmatic in the house with Lefto, and P.U.D.G.E. bringing the banging tracks. And it’s always a family affair with your resident DJs Inka One, Ben Diggin, and Analog. I have been going to Boombox for a while and have always had a good time. I’ll tell you this once again, bring your dancing shoes and get ready for a party.

I really don’t say much about going to this event except…GO!!! If you listen to music in general, you should be there. If you are thankful for the music J Dilla has blessed us with and everyone that he’s influenced, you should be there. House Shoes, Exile, Jeremy Ellis, and the Boombox crew…you should be there. Unless you’re outta town this will be the spot. Come out and enjoy the 4th Annual Celebration of the life & music of Detroit’s finest J Dilla on February 5th. It will be family, friends and good times. Big thanks Inka One and the Boombox crew. Keep doing it big. I’ll see you all there.

The great folks at Chinkyeyedla.com throw great events, and the their Belly of the Beatz is off the chain. A 16 man beat battle wrapped up with a performance with LMNO from the legendary Visionaries. It’ll be a packed house, so show up early.
If I can make it, I’m heading to The Barn at UCR. Tomorrow, Yesterday, the E.A.R.T.H. Crew, and Madlib are going to be performing at The Barn in Riverside. If you haven’t seen these folks, heading to The Barn would be the best time to see them. Tomorrow, Yesterdayis a great show to catch live with high energy. One of the reasons I want to check this show out is because I haven’t seen the E.A.R.T.H. Crewlive. I’ve seen Madlib a few times and it’s definitely an experience. Hopefully I’ll see you folks there.
