<p><strong>Episode 007: First Class<br />
</strong></p>
<p>All right we have another episode of <strong>Beats+Crates Radio</strong> for your ears. Like my man <a title="Soundwaves" href="http://soundwaveskpfk.wordpress.com/about/" target="_blank">Abraham</a> would say, just like records we have come full circle. Back to the creator of Beats+Crates Radio <strong><a title="J1 on MySpace" href="http://www.myspace.com/dafunkydrumma" target="_blank">J1 aka THE DEER</a></strong> with <strong>First Class</strong>. Yes this is a ticket into his record collection, and there’s no other way than first class. This is the guy who’s digging up the samples from Hip Hop tracks to the undiscovered. Your ears will love you for it. The stars must have been aligned when <a title="J1 on MySpace" href="http://www.myspace.com/dafunkydrumma" target="_blank">J1</a> made this mix. I seen a couple of joints from the <a title="Wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_Traffic" target="_blank">Heavy Traffic</a> soundtrack, and I was like no way. I watched <a title="Wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_Traffic" target="_blank">Heavy Traffic</a> for the first time a few months ago, and thought to myself, I needed to buy this soundtrack. I don’t want to spoil the goodness, so <strong><a title="B+C Radio Download // Media Fire " href="http://www.mediafire.com/?xtzld3uncdwh09d" target="_blank">download J1’s B+C Radio episode First Class here</a></strong> and enjoy. BIG BIG thanks <strong><a title="J1 on MySpace" href="http://www.myspace.com/dafunkydrumma" target="_blank">J1</a></strong> for all that you do for Beats+Crates.</p>

		<itunes:summary>Episode 005: Summer&#8217;s End

Mr. DJ Sean O. has blessed us with a dope episode for Beats+Crates Radio.  This episode is jammed pack with everyone from the Lootpack to Devonwho.  Summer&#8217;s End has a real chill lounge vibe, but retains some energy.  Very similar to DJ Sean O.&#8216;s personality. You&#8217;ll never need to be in the mood to play Summer&#8217;s End because it&#8217;s right for every moment.
If any of you don&#8217;t know Sean O., he&#8217;s a mellow cat with an eclectic music collection.  Sean O. is always down to share his knowledge and love for music.  Catch him on KPFK’s (90.7FM) Soundwaves with the host with the most Mr. Abraham Beltran and the lovely Ms. Cecilia choppin it up.  Sean O.&#8217;s Sound Cloud account must be full, I swear this dude kicks out a mix a day.  If you run into Sean O. or see him DJing at a spot, take a moment to say what’s up.  He’s a truly a cool cat and a good friend.  Check out DJ Sean O.&#8217;s newly redesigned site at DJSEANO.com, Twitter, MySpace, and everything else on the Internet. Download B+C: Summers End here and enjoy.  BIG thanks to DJ Sean O. for bringing some dope tunes to Beats+Crates Radio. I also want to thank ISO50 for inspiring the artwork.

Ok, I&#8217;d heard the buzz about<strong><a title="Strong Arm Steady" href="http://www.stonesthrow.com/SAS" target="_blank"> Strong Arm Steady&#8217;s</a></strong> (Krondon, Phil Da Agony, &amp; Mitchy Slick) <strong>In Search Of Stoney Jackson</strong>, but it was the midnight release and in-store performance at <a title="Fat Beats" href="http://www.fatbeats.com/" target="_blank">Fat Beats</a> that pushed me over the edge. (If you haven&#8217;t seen it, google that sh*t. I would have paid for that show.) Earlier that day a<a title="Strong Arm Steady" href="http://www.stonesthrow.com/SAS" target="_blank"></a> <strong><a title="Stones Throw" href="http://www.stonesthrow.com/news/2010/01/stones-throw-podcast-55" target="_blank">Strong Arm Steady podcast</a></strong> mixed by <a title="House Shoes on MySpace" href="http://www.myspace.com/DJHOUSESHOES" target="_blank">House Shoes</a> and <a title="J. Rocc on MySpace" href="http://www.myspace.com/funkypresident" target="_blank">J. Rocc</a> was dropped with all the extras. I bought the album that night and bumped it all the way home. Even took the long way. I can&#8217;t say anything bad about<strong> In Search Of Stoney Jackson</strong>; every track is a banger. Funky beats by <strong><a title="Madlib" href="http://www.stonesthrow.com/madlib" target="_blank">Madlib</a></strong>, hard-hitting lyricism by <a title="Strong Arm Steady" href="http://www.stonesthrow.com/SAS" target="_blank">Strong Arm Steady</a>, and guest appearances by <a title="Phonte on MySpace" href="http://www.myspace.com/phontigallo" target="_blank">Phonte</a>, <a title="Planet Asia on MySpace" href="http://www.myspace.com/planetasia" target="_blank">Planet Asia</a>, <a title="Tri-State on MySpace" href="http://www.myspace.com/iamtristate" target="_blank">Tri-State</a>, <a title="Fashawn on MySpace" href="http://www.myspace.com/fashawn" target="_blank">Fashawn</a>, <a title="Talib Kweli on MySpace" href="http://www.myspace.com/talibkweli" target="_blank">Talib Kweli</a>, <a title="Oh No" href="http://www.stonesthrow.com/ohno" target="_blank">Oh On</a>, <a title="Evidence on MySpace" href="http://www.myspace.com/evidence" target="_blank">Evidence</a>, &amp; more mean there&#8217;s no way this could be a bad album. Stop what you&#8217;re doing and go buy <strong><a title="Stones Throw Online Store" href="http://www.stonesthrow.com/store/album/SAS/stoney-jackson" target="_blank"><strong>In Search Of Stoney Jackson</strong></a>!</strong> I got mine at <a title="Fat Beats" href="http://www.fatbeats.com/" target="_blank">Fat Beats</a>. BIG thanks to <strong><a title="Strong Arm Steady" href="http://www.stonesthrow.com/SAS" target="_blank">Strong Arm Steady</a></strong> and <strong><a title="Madlib" href="http://www.stonesthrow.com/madlib" target="_blank">Madlib</a></strong> for making great music. You cats set the bar high.</p>

This was recorded in 2006 at Stacks record shop in Ontario (Inland Empire) while the shop was still open. Classic Collaboration is one of the many projects <strong><a title="DJ Gabe Real" href="http://musicculturefreedom.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">DJ GabeReal</a></strong> &amp;<strong><a title="DJ Ethos on MySpace" href="http://www.myspace.com/djethos" target="_blank"> DJ Ethos</a></strong> are planning on releasing this year. I dig Classic Collaboration not only for the tracks, but some are remixes by <a title="DJ Ethos on MySpace" href="http://www.myspace.com/djethos" target="_blank">DJ Ethos</a> &amp; <a title="DJ Gabe Real" href="http://musicculturefreedom.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">GabeReal</a> that are only available on this mix. Check out Classic Collaboration and <strong><a title="SoundCloud" href="http://soundcloud.com/groups/dj-ethos-gabe-real/tracks" target="_blank">download it here</a></strong>. BIG thanks to <a title="DJ Gabe Real" href="http://musicculturefreedom.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">DJ GabeReal</a> for the heads up.</p>
