The good folks at (iN)SECT Records sent an email about this Detroit cat Chanes. I was digging the artwork for (iN)TANGIBLES and gave it a spin. I rocked it for a whole day before I went back and read the email again. Chanes has a good blend of, well a bit of everything, and there’s a couple of snippet tracks on (iN)TANGIBLES I can’t wait to here the whole thing.
“We had heard about Cameron Falsetti a.k.a. Chanes, for a while now, I think first from Detroit’s Ambassador, House Shoes, we dug a little deeper and we started to see a young man with an already prolific career. Reaching out to him to see if he would be down to give us a mix for the (iN), We were not ready for what we got, all songs produced by Chanes with 8 exclusive joints. Artwork by Mike Combs”
- Andy the (iN)Tern
Anything from the D, there’s always a House Shoes connection. Gotta love that guy. Download Chanes – (iN)TANGIBLES on (iN)SECT Records. BIG thanks (iN)SECT Records for the heads up. And to Mr. House Shoes for getting good music heard.

B+C gets lots of emails everyday, and I’m glad to read them all. When the emails have links that lead to gems, I go bananas. That’s what happened when I got an email from BoomBaptist with a link to his Beat Tape. BoomBaptist posted the Beat Tape to see if folks were getting a feel for it, and I did for sure. I have it in heavy rotation on the ipod now. This beat tape is a little longer then most, but by the time you get to the end you’re waiting to hear some more. If this is what BoomBaptist cranks out on a regular, I can’t wait to see what he’s got in store for the next project. Download BoomBaptist Beat Tape here. Check out BoomBaptist on MySpace, BlogSpot, SoundCloud, and Twitter. BIG thanks Thesaurus Rex aka BoomBaptist for sending that in.

Today is the start of the Music part of South x SouthWest, and I can’t go (j.o.b.). But, we are blessed to have a man on the inside that’s going to give us the low down. Nate Dog (Nathan Goldman) is headed to Austin to promote his company DKNG and check out some new music. In between he’s going to keep us posted on what’s new. So keep checking back for Nate Dog’s post.
You ask, “what makes Nate the man to do some music reporting?” Well if you’ve been to the Troubadour in LA, you’ve seen DKNG’s handy work. They make custom music posters for the Troubadour and a gang of other stuff. DKNG are becoming the “go-2-guys” in the music industry, so keep your eyes peeled for them.
BIG thanks Nate Dog for hookin it up. And Congrats on winning HBO’s Flight of the Conchords “Really Arty Poster Search.”
Check out what DKNG is up to, and HBO’s Flight of the Conchords.

I dig the Crown City Rockers and I’m always looking for them to come out with something…anything! DJ Chorizo Funk/DJ E Be Lo is filling the gap. DJ Chorizo Funk has come out with a remix mixtape of the Crown City Rockers, and it’s real nice. He also has another mixtape that is worth checking out called Catalog is Analog v.3. BIG thanks to East of LA.com for posting that.
