Svetnik is crazy talented.  If you don’t know who he is there was a B+C post a while back that was about his other beat tape Lo.Fi. Rocking Lo.Fi made me feel relaxed and at peace no matter what chaos was going down.  Blueprint gives you that same feeling with a nice upbeat tempo.  I was cranking out all kinds of work listening to Blueprint.  I dig the track Making Love To You because it sounds like there is a sample of one of my favorite songs; A Brighter Day by Ronnie Jordan.  Either way you’ve got to kepp an eye out for Svetnik because he drops well produced projects. The first project I heard from Thelonious was Fear of Flight and it was dope. I kept checking back with Thelonious, and he just cranked one beat tape out after the next. I have had the honor of doing the art for one of the many beat tapes, Big Wheels &  Gold Teeth, but also keep it in heavy rotation on my iPod. A few days ago Thelonious let me know he was getting ready to put out Life Of A Teenage Champion, and explained that he was feeling really good about this one. I was excited for him and couldn’t wait to hear the progression that Thelonious made from his first beat tape to this Life Of A Teenage Champion. J. Bizness dropped Reason Beats & Pieces a while back and it was something to rock to. You can’t go too long without hearing a J. Bizness beat, he’s everywhere. J. Bizness teams up with Ayiro, another dope beat maker, for Cali Fire Commission. Earlier I was going through downtown L.A. and the tracks fit the mood. It was a cinematic moment. This cat from the Netherlands has been up on B+C from day one. IllSkiz let us know he was feeling the content. Later down the road he shot us an email with some beats he made and we quickly wrote a post. If you missed the first post about IllSkiz go back and check it out. IllSkilz – Food Poetry

B+C has been laying low for a while, but is running at full speed. One of the things that got us going, totally came Buy Surprise. Spon aka Sponatola hit me with this mix of beats. I started listening to it while he was giving me the back story. Spon is known for drop lyrics, but wanted to let folks know he can drop a beat too. I wasn’t familiar with Spon the rapper, but quickly got to know Spon the beat maker after playing Buy Surprise back to back several times. Buy Surprise shows the range that Spon has as a beat maker. My man Devonwho was tweeting the other day about this nice 11 track beat tape he got in an email called The Other Side Vol. 3 by this cat Weslee Connerzs. He posted up the link, and I checked it out. Now when Devonwho tweets about something he’s got, you know its gotta be good. After rocking The Other Side Vol. 3 I hit Devonwho up about getting a hold of Weslee. Yeah this is something to write home about. I didn’t get much, but this beat maker is from  Philly and has got more in the works. I have no idea where Thelonious comes up with these titles, but I’m sure he’s got a good reason for it. I can’t say much about the first track, Big Wheels, except bangin. I don’t know how many times I played it before I got to the rest of the tracks. Big Wheels & Gold Teeth shows Thelonious’ growth and exploration of sounds. In some beats, he drops in movie samples that compliment the tracks giving them a big cinematic feel. Over all Big Wheels & Gold Teeth is another well done beat tape you gotta check out. Let me start off with HAZ SOLO is a triple threat waiting to make a home in your speakers. Producer: On “June Bug” this cat makes the craziest beats I have ever heard. At first I totally didn’t get it. I was ready to pass it up, but I’ve seen this dude on twitter everyday putting in work. There had to be something to it. When I took the time to listen to it, I was shocked that I had almost passed this by. I was feeling it. I did some more digging and found out HAZ is an emcee! MC: Are you for real?! He had lyrics to match. I downloaded Missing and rocked it in my car…a few times. I got to a friends house and thought to myself “What happened to the music?” because I wasn’t in my car. It was cool. There’s music that you have to be in the mood for, and then there’s music that puts you in the right mood. Beats Please! is one that puts you in a good mood. I was on the train the other day feeling a little worn down from the day in day out stuff. I went through a few songs on my iPod, and remembered I had new stuff to listen to. Beats Please! put me back in a good groove. This will put you in a good vibe. I would have to say he covers the Detroit sound great and adds his own twist it. J1 is puttin in work! I mean this brotha’s crankin it out like crazy. James Brown (R.I.P.) ain’t got nothing on this cat. Just to give you an idea of what I’m talking about; J1 DJ’s at a few spots around LA, is in 2 bands, took time to crank out a podcast for Beats+Crates, few days later plays at the Natural History Museum with Dam Funk, and cranked out YouTube. And that’s just the stuff I know about. I feel like I ran a 5K in a minute givin you the run down. The cool thing is, this is quality stuff J1 is crankin out.
