Episode 002: Space.Mind.Grind

The fam went all out on this one.  J1 aka THE DEER got heavy hitters Max Kane & Teeko, and they killed it.  I met these cats a while back and they have changed my whole outlook on live performances.  It’s some other level-ish.  Max & Teeko are 2/3 of F.A.M.E. This cat from the Netherlands has been up on B+C from day one. IllSkiz let us know he was feeling the content. Later down the road he shot us an email with some beats he made and we quickly wrote a post. If you missed the first post about IllSkiz go back and check it out. My man IllSkiz blessed B+C with another beat tape. There’s a track he made titled BeatsNCrates he made for B+C! Now that’s tight, right?! IllSkilz – Food Poetry

My man Thelonious was dropping beat tape after beat tape. One day we were tweeting, and he mentioned  he was looking to work with some emcees. K. Sparks was one that he brought up a couple of times, and told me to  keep my ears open. Shortly after, Thelonious emailed me this dope track called Obsession that I kept playing it over and over. It’s a little dark, but the combo of the 2 works is awesome. I started digging for more K. Sparks stuff, but no luck. A couple of months passed and I seen that 2 Dope Boyz and KevinNottingham.com presents K. Sparks Super Senior. I was like “what?! That’s dope.” The album has a good mix and with 25 tracks you’ll find the one you crank the volume up on. THIS IS THE EVENT TO BE AT!!!! For reals. Mark September 5th on your calendars now. The main event is going to be kicked off at Fatbeats to rock the compilation Starship 27. There will be featured DJ sets by J1 aka The DEER & Houseshoes. Live beat set by Dibia$e & Snowman Jack (Devonwho hope you can make it), and another DJ set by Teeko & Max Kane. They are giving out free Starship 27 copies to the first 50 people! And of course free beer and lots of Fatbeats merchandise to check out.  It’s going to be a packed house, but the party don’t stop there.

BOOMBOX is hosting the Starship 27 album release party. Boombox usually throws banging events anyways, but they are making this extra special with the lineup they got. Dam Funk, Houseshoes, J1, and hosted by Oddisee! Can you say off the HOOK?! Just check the flyer for the rest of the dope cats. To top it off they are going to have some crazy visuals by my man Moonsatellite. Not much else to  say but GO!
