Going through my emails as usual, I was looking for a video to write about and ran across Koncept and Tranzformer Day Dreaming. I started thinking about when I would day dream in class. I checked out the video and started nodding my head to the track. Below the video was a link for a free EP, so I downloaded it. I played the whole thing. If More Than Meets The Eye is an EP, I can’t wait to hear Koncept and Tranzformer’s LP. This is a must to check out.Download Koncept & Tranzformer – More Than Meets The Eye at DJ Booth.Net. Also check out Koncept on twitter. BIG Thanks Brown Bag All Stars for the heads up.

Sometimes when I catch up on listening to stuff, I think everyone has it already. Well if you already have Dollabin – Styles You Can’t Afford, then this is just a refresher on how dope it is. And Dollabin’sStyles You Can’t Afford is timeless. It doesn’t matter how old you are, or which genre of hip hop you’re all about, this will get you grooving without a care in the world. DJ Ian Head’s jazzy tracks with Verbal Math’s lyrical skills makes for a great combo.
“We love records. As people continue to download mp3s like eating french fries, we wanted to try and make the release of our music a memorable experience, like pulling a classic record from the crate. Similar to jazz albums of the past, we’ve added a set of liner notes, to bring a little more context to each song. We’ve also made individual songs available for download, in addition to the full album. We hope you enjoy.

We all have a devilish side and How To Be A Villain is the guide on how to bring it out. Khingz & DJ Ian Head put out How To Be A Villain (ep) in 03, and I discovered it when How To Be A Villain was posted on Everydaybeats.net in early 09. I’ve been listening to this for months now, and a few other things DJ Ian Head has put out. I figured it was time to share the good tunes he’s putting out. Not only the collabos and instrumental projects, but also the monthly mixDJ Ian Head does. Check out his latest one, Rock Music. It’s got a lot of the rock classics that artists sample. Download Khingz & DJ Ian Head – How To Be A Villain here. BIG thanks for Khingz & DJ Ian Head for making this devilish manual.

I was doing my regular reading on FLWRPT.com and was rockin the new Flipped (v8.0), then I started to check the older post. I ran across the title “Sidenote: Kicks & Snares Vol.1,” read it, downloaded it, and rocked that half hour beat tape twice. Yeah not once but twice. Algorythm came with crazy beats and a smooth sound. I was feelin it so much, I got a hold of Darien at FLWRPT, and he gave me the low down on this dope producer. They grew up together in DC and slowly but surely each made their way out to BedStuy. Both cats’ careers are taking off like a rocket ship. Keep your eyes pealed and your ears open for Algorythm to see what’s coming next at AlgorythmMusic.com. Download Kicks & Snares Vol.1, and hear what I’m talking about. Check the fam at FLWRPT.com, BIG thanks to Darien for the heads up.

As old as this video is, I can’t stop watching it. Maybe the song is catchy? Maybe I keep thinking about buying some Dr. Dre headphone? Nah that aint it. I know, Lacey DuValle! I tried to find a link or a picture so you’ll know who she is, but you’ll just have to google her name…and not at work. Check out more of Charles Hamilton or read his blog.

Now this is what I’m talking about. Mos at it again, and hot. I’m from Riverside and this makes me wish we had a bangin track to rep. Maybe one day I can get my I.E. people to do it. BIG thanks to URB (my favorite magazine) for posting that, and Twittering about it.

I’m not a big fan of the video, but the track is hot (gotta love that HD button). I’ve heard Cold Pellow, and was like that’s “wow cool.” I said, “What else Theophilus London got going on?” He has a mixtape that you can download from his Myspace page (or try this link). BIG thanks to the ICU Lab for the video.
