Jerome D. is starting be a regular on B+C for sure. He’s cranking out dope videos that clearly are coming into a style of his own. The Journey (4U), shot in black and white, is Jerome D.’s second video with Versis. On a side note The Journey (4U) was produced by my man Dibiase, who makes crazy beats. Versis takes you on his journey through life. From “the man” holding him down to hard times with the family, he still has a positive outlook. Jerome D. has recently spend time updating his site (JeromeD.com), so check that out and also check out some of his other work. Check out Versis – illcandescent on BandCamp. You guys keep doing what you’re doing.

What did I just see?!? I’m not sure, but I know I have to watch it again. This video is crazy! Visually you can’t touch it with a 10-foot pole, and the track(s) are dope. My man Greg “The Dude” does great videos, but this is one side we don’t ever see often. He’s a motion graphics mad man. Not only giving you this graphic controlled chaos, but uses all 3 remixes of Exile’s Population Control (from the AM/FM album) in the video. DJ Sean O. was talking about this video for a while, and I can see why. Greg is pushing that bar higher folks, so keep those ideas pop’n. BIG shout to Samiyam, Dibiase, and Free The Robots on those remixes. Check out other works by Greg “The Dude” on Viemo.
This video is sick. My man Dibiase is a beast on the beats and now he has the video to match. This *ish is bananas! I don’t smoke and Skullcrack gave me a contact high from just watching it. Today (Sept. 14) Dibiase drops his album Machines Hate Me on Alpha Pup Records, so cop that.  I know I will.  BIG thanks to J Listed for tweeting about this one.
Starship 27 took off with no delay on Saturday. The listening party was held at Fatbeats (LA) and hosted by Houseshoes. There were performances by Snowman Jack, F.A.M.E. (Teeko, Max Kane, & Ivan), and Dibia$e. The party didn’t stop there. On to BOOMBOX!!! Boombox is coordinated by the one and only Inka One. Oddisee hosted the event for the evening with special guest with flows Trek Life. There were DJ sets by J1 aka The DEER, HouseShoes, Inka One, One Man Jazz, DJ Sean O, & GroWeyez. With all that talent you think it would be enough, nope. They also had beat sets by F.A.M.E. & Dibia$e. And you know Dam Funk did a little of everything. It was dope. Everyone stayed until Grand Star was closed. It was a great night. Just watch the videos!
If you haven’t copped the DJ friendly version with the extra track GET IT HERE. BIG Thanks to J1 aka The DEER and GroWeyez.

If you’re looking to take off and experience another planet, Starship 27 is for you. This compilation of beats has heavy hitters on it, and J1 aka The DEER is the master mind behind this outta space journey. With his co-pilot Weyez and trusty navigator (the man on the 1′s & 2′s) DJ Seano aka The Wolverine cranked out a banging album. Yes not just a mix of tracks that existed, but each producer made a track for Starship 27. In addition to the compilation check out the mini videos they leaked for the promo, they are outta this world fo-reals (links below). Download Animal Kingdom x HVW8 Presents Starship 27 here.
