Yes, it’s Boombox time again! August 6th New York and Detroit with LA style is going to turn Chinatown into the party you want to be at. The ambassador of Detroit Hip Hop and LA’s El Capitan on the 1′s and 2′s, House Shoes. You can always count on him to drop some exclusive stuff. Coming off the high of Sucio Smash’ Underground Selects New York’s Sucio Smash is landing in LA and going to set the turntables ablaze. The evening’s guest hosts are from the Cafeteria Line: TiRon & Ayomari.And always in the place to be are your resident DJs Inka One, Ben Diggin, and Analog. Spinning those grooves that keep your feet moving and the party going. Come on out to Boombox to check out the party. Hope to see you all there. Yes it’s that time again folks….Boombox!!! The Boombox team has come up with a great line up as usual for March. They’ve got Mr. Rhettmatic in the house with Lefto, and P.U.D.G.E. bringing the banging tracks. And it’s always a family affair with your resident DJs Inka One, Ben Diggin, and Analog. I have been going to Boombox for a while and have always had a good time. I’ll tell you this once again, bring your dancing shoes and get ready for a party.
Time flies when you’re having fun, and the Boombox crew must be having a helluva time! It feels like just a few months ago we were celebrating their 3rd year. This time around to help celebrate Boombox’s 4th anniversary the guest host for the evening is Shawn Jackson. If you don’t know about Mr. Shawn Jackson check out his recent mixtape Hollywood Shuffle Side B and his LP Brand New Old Me. And guest selector Pete Rock. Do I need to say more about him? I’m sure you all know Pete Rock for one thing or another. He’ll be pulling tunes from his large library of music. It’s going to be a dope night. Always in the place to be Boombox’s resident DJs Inka One, Ben Diggin, and One Man Jazz. Picking great music from hip hop to latin grooves you’ll have a great time. Oh yes, it’s that time again. October 2nd is going to be off the hook. The Boombox crew has come up with some heat for this line up. Ced No, Coultrain and Black Spade making up the incredible group the Hawthorne Headhunters. If you don’t know them yet, this is your chance to hear their great sound. Also keep an eye out for the Hawthorne Headhunters LP and their individual projects. Next on the bill my man Blu and his band No York. Blu is everywhere right now including a couple of tracks on The Roots new album. Blu is also getting ready to drop an LP, so keep your ears open. Show up at Boombox and catch a sneak peek to both groups and their new joints. Gotta love the first Saturday of every month, so get your dancing shoes, all of your friends, and head out to the Boombox. Mr. DJ Sean O. has blessed us with a dope episode for Beats+Crates Radio. This episode is jammed pack with everyone from the Lootpack to Devonwho. Summer’s End has a real chill lounge vibe, but retains some energy. Very similar to DJ Sean O.‘s personality. You’ll never need to be in the mood to play Summer’s End because it’s right for every moment.
If any of you don’t know Sean O., he’s a mellow cat with an eclectic music collection. Sean O. is always down to share his knowledge and love for music. I gotta apologize for the delay on getting the word out on this month’s Boombox. It’s going to bean absolute must see, event! First off, let me give BIG thanks to Inka One, Ben Diggin, and One Man Jazz for making Boombox a staple in L.A. Second, the folks at Boombox know how to bring in the heavy hitters. The line-up is sick… Exile, Oddisee, Samiyam, & J. Bizness. You think you’ve got better plans, yeah right. Trust me, you’ll want to go to this one. So, unless you’re going to Timeless, Boombox is going to be the spot. See you all there.

April 3rd BOOMBOX is going to be on and popping with special guest DJ Battlecat. I don’t usually do this, but check out DJ Battlecat at Discogs. His career is more than impressive…it’s off the charts. DJ Battlecat will be blessing BOOMBOX with a DJ set that should be crazy. DJ Expo & DJ A1 will be holding it down in the beat lounge. The night will be hosted by a special guest that’s known for the condiments (Ketchup and coming soon Mustard) TiRon. And always to keep the party moving, your resident DJs Inka One, Ben Diggin, and One Man Jazz. No need to bring your boombox to this party. Just your party shoes.

First off, I have no idea about the water bottle, and second Inka One is crazy with this Zojirushi Mix. I mean check out the tracklist. He goes from Black Milk, Little Dragon, to J. Rocc & Dam Funk. That’s not all, he’s got some local celebrities on this like DevonWho, Aspect 1, & J. Bizness. Inka One drops lots of exclusive and unreleased tracks, so this is a mix worth downloading. I would not be surprised if he knows each people/group personal. Head out to Boombox every 1st Saturday at Grand Star, and also check Soundwaves with Abraham & Ms. Cecilia every Saturaday night/early Sunday morning (midnight – 2) on KPFK (90.7fm) BIG thanks Inka One for the heads up.

One of my favorite LA events is coming around again…BOOMBOX! Great music, cool people, and most of the time your favorite artist drops in. The Boombox crew always brings in some top talent and this March 6th is no different. Guest DJs for the evening will be DJ Revolution from The Wake Up Show and DJ Adam 12 from She Wants Revenge. Oh yeah Inka One and the Boombox crew are at it again. They are always bringing in top notch acts. This coming February 6thBoombox is celebrating the life & music of Detroit’s finest, J Dilla. Guest Selector is House Shoes, so you know your going to get some dope stuff and exclusives dropped on you. On the MPC with a live tribute is Jeremy Ellis.
