THIS IS A MUST…AUG. 7THBoombox Producer Showcase Vol. 8. I have never felt so strongly about going to an event before. I just have to say, if you don’t go to Boombox: Producer Showcase Vol. 8 you must be trying to save your house from a fire. The lineup the Boomboxcrew has put together is ridiculous. Ras-G, 14KT, Dert, MNDSGN, F.A.M.E. and DJ sets from D-Fib & GroWeyez. If you haven’t seen or heard about these folks google them, ask a friend, search Beats+Crates, but do what you have to do to understand this show is going to be EPIC. BIG thanks to the Boombox crew Inka One, Ben Diggin, and One Man Jazzfor putting on dope events. And I’ll see you all there.

I gotta apologize for the delay on getting the word out on this month’s Boombox. It’s going to bean absolute must see, event! First off, let me give BIG thanks to Inka One, Ben Diggin, and One Man Jazz for making Boombox a staple in L.A. Second, the folks at Boombox know how to bring in the heavy hitters. The line-up is sick… Exile, Oddisee, Samiyam, & J. Bizness. You think you’ve got better plans, yeah right. Trust me, you’ll want to go to this one. So, unless you’re going to Timeless, Boombox is going to be the spot. See you all there.

April 3rd BOOMBOX is going to be on and popping with special guest DJ Battlecat. I don’t usually do this, but check out DJ Battlecat at Discogs. His career is more than impressive…it’s off the charts. DJ Battlecat will be blessing BOOMBOX with a DJ set that should be crazy. DJ Expo & DJ A1 will be holding it down in the beat lounge. The night will be hosted by a special guest that’s known for the condiments (Ketchup and coming soon Mustard) TiRon. And always to keep the party moving, your resident DJs Inka One, Ben Diggin, and One Man Jazz. No need to bring your boombox to this party. Just your party shoes.

First off, I have no idea about the water bottle, and second Inka One is crazy with this Zojirushi Mix. I mean check out the tracklist. He goes from Black Milk, Little Dragon, to J. Rocc & Dam Funk. That’s not all, he’s got some local celebrities on this like DevonWho, Aspect 1, & J. Bizness. Inka One drops lots of exclusive and unreleased tracks, so this is a mix worth downloading. I would not be surprised if he knows each people/group personal. Head out to Boombox every 1st Saturday at Grand Star, and also check Soundwaves with Abraham & Ms. Cecilia every Saturaday night/early Sunday morning (midnight – 2) on KPFK (90.7fm) BIG thanks Inka One for the heads up.

One of my favorite LA events is coming around again…BOOMBOX! Great music, cool people, and most of the time your favorite artist drops in. The Boombox crew always brings in some top talent and this March 6th is no different. Guest DJs for the evening will be DJ Revolution from The Wake Up Show and DJ Adam 12 from She Wants Revenge. And always on deck at Boombox are Inka One, Ben Diggin, and One Man Jazz. Come on out and enjoy the good vibes.

Oh yeah Inka One and the Boombox crew are at it again. They are always bringing in top notch acts. This coming February 6thBoombox is celebrating the life & music of Detroit’s finest, J Dilla. Guest Selector is House Shoes, so you know your going to get some dope stuff and exclusives dropped on you. On the MPC with a live tribute is Jeremy Ellis. If you haven’t seen this cat, you haven’t seen nothing yet. And your host for the evening, is the one and only Frank Nitt. Detroit is in the house. This is going to be a night not to miss. I can’t forget the resident DJ’s Inka One, Ben Diggin, and One Man Jazz bringing you that feel good music. Come on down to Grand Star and get a dose of the music you need.

19 tracks of Hip Hop goodness. A while back E Reece shot me an email with a few tracks from Art & Commerce The Mixtape before it dropped, so I had an idea of what I was in store for. If you know or have met Chuck Chilla, just add producer to his many credits. He contributed some tracks on Art & Commerce The Mixtape. I flipped out when I saw “mixed by Inka One” on the cover art of Art & Commerce the mixtape. If you have been to Boombox (at Grand Star), then you know about Inka One. Boombox is back in action. Kicking off 2010 with a dope start and your favorite DJ’s. Inka One, Ben Diggin, & One Man Jazz are going to be spinning the stuff you love, and the stuff you haven’t heard yet. Los Angeles, stand up for my man Inka One. Because of this cat, Boombox is one of the dopest events in L.A. With top notch artists dropping in and album release parties Boombox is a must go event. So head to Grand Star on December 5th to celebrate Boombox Three Year Anniversary with Inka One, Ben Diggin, & One Man Jazz. In the beat lounge Frank(E), Bency, and special guest DJ set by Talib Kweli. I suggest you folks get your best dancing shoes and show up early. There will be some giveaways and of course good music.
