Detroit is one city that is cranking out artists left and right. I got an email from Jon the other day with eLZHi’s latest release The Leftovers Unmixedtape, and I checked it out right away. eLZHi’s The Leftovers is a 14 track unmixedtape of old promos and projects, but together is a banger. The lyrics are hands down dope, and all of the producers are home run hitters. I think I even played that track “The Crowd” (produced by Leef) a few times in a row before I got to the next track. Call it what you want, The Leftovers Unmixedtape is one you’ll crank up the volume to. Download eLZHi – The Leftovers Unmixedtape at eLZhi.com. Keep and eye out for other projects eLZhi drops on MySpace. BIG thanks to Jon for the heads up.

This is the long awaited video to the song Home by Jake One. This song is off his debut album White Van Music which was released last October by Rhymesayers Entertainment. It’s about Jake One’s hometown Seattle and showcases the city through great camera work and angles instead of featuring the typical tourist attractions and locales- all thanks to great directing by Zia Mohajerjasbi. The video even includes a cameo by Seattle native Sir Mix-A-Lot. The song features MC’s Vitamin D, Note, Maneak B and Ish. This jam definitely makes you homesick. Check out White Van Music, and Jake One on MySpace.

I bought “White Van Music” a few weeks ago, and this is one track that I can’t stop playing. Jake One kills it all over this thing. When I did a quick search to see if there were any videos, it was like striking it rich. I was like ” There is a video and it’s directed by Rik Cordero.” I’ve posted videos by Three21 Media before and I’ll have to say it again… I really dig that rough and raw look of the video with the over staurated colors- it makes you keep looking for more. Bangin tracks, lyrics, and video. If you’re looking for more check out Jake One and Three21 Media on their sites.
