If you don’t know about the Low Budget Crew I’m guessing you have heard from one of them and you just don’t know it. Well they have come out with a beat album, yes I said album that is a dedication to the game of golf…also titled The Masters. Just like the Masters (PGA Tour), after playing 18 tracks you’ll feel exhilarated, and want to do it all over again. Sorry no green jacket after this. yU, Kev Brown, Roddy Rod, Kaimbr, & Quartermaine break out the 9 irons and drive each banging beat straight to your ears. I played The Masters without skipping any tracks/holes. Well wroth it, so go buy Low Budget Crew – The Masters on Band Camp. I think I’ll go play a around of golf with The Masters in the headphones. Man, let me start off by saying BUY Selective Hearing Part 2! J1 introduced me to Kev Brown at a benefit party for Kutmah at the Verdugo Bar. I bought Kev Brown’s Random Joints a while back, and was a big fan (a House Shoes recommendation). Kev was in town to do a tour with his partner in crime LMNO, from the super group The Visionaries, to promote the new album Selective Hearing Part 2. When I got a copy of this I played it all day. I got a chance to play some tracks on Soundwaves and played The Ultimate. LMNO and Kev Brown kill it on the mic. And the album uses all James Brown samples, it’s off the hook. Lots to do in LA this weekend. This Friday (May 14th) at the Self Help Graphics & Art LMNO & Kev Brown are going to give the people a preview of their latest album Selective Hearing 2 that dropped May 11th. The Diamond District has hit the west coast. They’ll be doing a hand full of shows in LA starting with this one. This show is going to be dope. I went to Fatbeats for Fashawn and Exile’s in-store and picked up the album Boy Meets World (dope, must have). I talked to Houseshoes and he was like, “If you want some dope sh*t, check this.” and handed me Kev Brown Random Joints. When Houseshoes talks music, you listen! I bought that too. I got in my car, put Random Joints in, and rocked it back to back. I even drove the long way home. You can buy Random Joints online, but with a physical copy you get 2 additional tracks and an instrumental track! Another reason to grab a physical copy Random Joints is self distributed, meaning Kev Brown / Low Budget shipped it or dropped it off himself. That’s tight.
