Haz Solo is cranking out the beats once again.  This time he’s teamed up with New York based emcee SigNif.  Haz gave me a quick run down on how this project came about.  He linked up with SigNif, a fellow Milwaukee native, to produce a track (AfterNoon Jazz) on her album The Transition.  That project was coming to a close and Haz was digging it.  He wanted to make more, so he requested the acapella version of the title track, and made 4 different versions.  Haz then got 4 other tracks which turned into The Transition Remixes.  I’m a Haz Solo fan anyways, but I think SigNif is coming for you emcees.  Download Signif x Haz Solo – The Transition Remixes on BandCamp.  Also check out the original album, SigNif – The Transition.  BIG thanks Haz for the heads up.

Anytime that Haz Solo puts out a project, I listen to it.  He recently teamed up with theOTHERSIDE to bring you this dope EP called Laundry Day.  I’m not even sure if I need to talk about this one. Haz is a riot, so you know anything he spits is a build up to something funny.  I’m waiting for Haz to have a show in LA. theOTHERSIDE (KENO the MC & Wallsauce the producer) are a dynamic duo you can’t sleep on.  KENO living Salinas, Ca. and Wallsauce in Charlotte, North Carolina together they make an explosive sound that will get you dancing.  Having all 3 on a single project, you now there is going to be more.  When I first listened to Laundry Day, and if I didin’t know Haz, I would have thought this was a group from the jump.  Their sound meshes together well and it seems very organic.  It’s dope.  Download theOTHERSIDE x Haz Solo – Laundry Day here. I don’t like to classify or make sub-genres of Hip Hop, but this is on some backpacker blow your mind ish.  Yes that is a good thing.  I started playing Taiyamo Denku’s Articles of Mind and right away it made me feel proud when I rocked a backpack everywhere.  A walkman, sketchbook,and sharpies handy to jot down ideas and bump whatever mixtape I had.  When I say Articles of Mind is backpacker I also want to include the lyrical content.  The lyrics are strong, in your face, blunt statements of the political & social issues, create expression, and the state of Hip hop.  Call it what you want, but Taiyamo Denku stays true to that and more.  Articles of Mind also has dope guest appearances by some heavy hitters.  Buy Taiyamo Denku – Articles of Mind online.  Also check out Taiyamo Denko’s free download Lost Thoughts on BandCamp.  BIG thanks to the folks at Uncommon Records for the heads up.

Haz dropped this cat Ka$h on me other day. I checked the title Black Bauer 24 and was like WHAT?!. Then I was like, how come they didn’t come up with that sooner.?! Using 24 as the concept for an album is dope. The intro was funny and then it moved into some real hip hop. Besides Haz on production they also got my man Dylan Thomas cranking out beats. Haz has got a hand full of albums, and yeah man I’m still rocking June Bug. Dylan Thomas dropped And It Was Good…and it was dope. That one’s in heavy rotation on my ipod. All Jokes Aside takes it to another level with these cats. Don’t Turn Around is one of the tracks that got me hooked. The whole thing is worth the buy. Check it for yourself. I did a quick look and seen he rocks some stuff with the fam bam Haz Solo. You know that cat cranks out the tunes like crazy. At first I totally didn’t get it. I was ready to pass it up, but I’ve seen this dude on twitter everyday putting in work. There had to be something to it. When I took the time to listen to it, I was shocked that I had almost passed this by. I was feeling it. I did some more digging and found out HAZ is an emcee! MC: Are you for real?!
