Sotu the Taveller hooked up with Nalden to make this ill video for his track HourGlass. It tripped me out at first. I started to hear that backwards record sound on the track and the video was in forward motion. At first there were small changes I started to notice, like the video was going to the tempo of the track, then it would switch to just the beat. It wasn’t until I watched it a second time that I noticed half way through the video, that it goes in reverse. Just crazy. Check out Sotu the Traveller’s album Left on BandCamp. Netherlands
This cat from the Netherlands has been up on B+C from day one. IllSkiz let us know he was feeling the content. Later down the road he shot us an email with some beats he made and we quickly wrote a post. If you missed the first post about IllSkiz go back and check it out. IllSkilz – Food Poetry
I started checking out Full Crate & FS Green with their monthly podcast. I first heard of Versis when he did Love produced by fLako. Not that long ago I got an email from this cat Versis with the track Make Me Laugh that he did with Full Crate. Versis breaks out with smooth lyrics and a raspy voice, I had a Tone Loc flashback for a minute. It was tight. I hit up Versis to ask what else he has in the works, because I was in the middle of writing a post. He told me that I might want to wait a bit for Synergy the EP (produced by Lucid) to drop. Man, good thing I did. It dropped on July 11th and I rocked Synergy for a couple of days. Versis has more projects in the works, but hopefully this will hold you until then. I got an email a while back from this cat called IllSkilz in the Netherlands with a link to download some tracks. He let me know they were works in progress and to just give it a listen. I assumed it was like 2 or 3 half done beats, but when I checked it…man I was way wrong. It was 13 tracks of beats that sound damn near finished. I put the iPod on shuffle, and when it got to an IllSkilz track it blended perfectly with albums I bought. I’m not sure what else he’s gotta do to this, but in my book it’s cool. Check it fo yo-self.
