Apollo Campbell & David Vangel – Measure Of Progress ft. Mr. Blends

This video is crazy and strangely hypnotically fun with the kids singing the chorus. I dig the vibrant colors, dope lyrics and beat. Usually the mirror effect in a video can be overwhelming, but in this case it was done right. Measure Of Progress is a fun loving track with a positive message about life. Watch this video enough times and you’ll start humming the chorus too.Great video. Check out Apollo Campbell & David Vamgel – The Moth, Flame & Phoenix on SoundCloud. BIG thanks for the email.

EL PREZ – Leadersh!t

I can’t explain Leadersh!t like EL PREZ. The concept is motivating, the music is dope, and EL PREZ keeps bringing it. Really get down with this Leadsh!t movement or you’ll just be another follower. Support my dude EL PREZ and buy a copy of El Prez – Leadersh!t on iTunes. BIG thanks EL PREZ  keep doing what you’re doing.

Inka One – Zojirushi Mix (Soundwaves)

First off, I have no idea about the water bottle, and second Inka One is crazy with this Zojirushi Mix. I mean check out the tracklist. He goes from Black Milk, Little Dragon, to J. Rocc & Dam Funk. That’s not all, he’s got some local celebrities on this like DevonWho, Aspect 1, & J. Bizness. Inka One drops lots of exclusive and unreleased tracks, so this is a mix worth downloading. I would not be surprised if he knows each people/group personal. Head out to Boombox every 1st Saturday at Grand Star, and also check Soundwaves with Abraham & Ms. Cecilia every Saturaday night/early Sunday morning (midnight – 2) on KPFK (90.7fm) BIG thanks Inka One for the heads up.

Quelle – Blue Mondays

Quelle - Blue MondayI was reading through some tweets a while back and saw that Houseshoes posted a link to Houseshoes Presents Quelle Blue Mondays. I recalled talking to Houseshoes telling me Quelle was one of the cats he was listening to. I had no idea it was at this level. Quelle doesn’t just emcee it, but produced half of the tracks on Blue Monday with a select few producers.  Blue Monday is a good listen… even on Mondays. Download Houseshoes Presents Quelle Blue Mondays here. Check out other tracks Quelle dropped on SoundCloud. BIG thanks Houseshoes for the heads up.

DJ Ethos & Gabe Real – Classic Collaboration

DJ Ethos & Gabe Real - Classic CollaborationThe tracks selected for Classic Collaboration takes me back to high school, and some even farther. This was recorded in 2006 at Stacks record shop in Ontario (Inland Empire) while the shop was still open. Classic Collaboration is one of the many projects DJ GabeReal & DJ Ethos are planning on releasing this year. Like another B+C’s hero J1 DJ Ethos & GabeReal used all vinyl to create this dope mix. I dig Classic Collaboration not only for the tracks, but some are remixes by DJ Ethos & GabeReal that are only available on this mix. Check out Classic Collaboration and download it here. BIG thanks to DJ GabeReal for the heads up.
