I first got wind of this cat Rick Hughes from the track In My City off Cali Co-op, and a few folks I’ve talked with dropped his name in conversations. But what made me really pay attention was an email I got from Camille about her post on Arize Magazine’s site. I chatted with her on twitter about it, and Camille told me she was all about getting good music heard. I was down for that, and the tracks she sent were good. Rick Hughes has worked with a gang of people from Kid Boogie to Oh On, so I’d keep a close eye on this cat. Rick, keep making moves…and rep’n the I.E. Download all 5 tracks here. BIG thanks Camille for keeping my ears open.

With the addition of Silent Knight this track will end up on your heavy rotation playlist. On April 13th check for Dub MD & Cyrano aka Cy Yung presents “Madicinal Libationz: Flow Springz Eternal. Sometimes when you find stuff…you find stuff. I was rockin some Guilty Simpson and wanted to see what else was out there that I haven’t heard. I did a search and a huge list popped out. I’m a Big Madlib and Guilty Simpson fan, and when it’s on the same track I gotta post it. I’m not sure where the track came from, but I’ll see what else i can dig up on it. Enjoy. Check out both on Stones Throw.
Download track…if it’s still there.

You can’t ever get enough of Jay Dilla. J. Rocc brings another installment to “Thank You Jay Dee.” I’m telling you, when J. Rocc did the first one I burned up my ipod playing it.
If you have been sleeping under a rock or just don’t know how far Dilla has reached, check out Thank You Jay Dee v. 1-4. You’ll do like I did when I heard the first one…”I didn’t know Dilla did that one too!” BIG thanks to J. Rocc and Stones Throw for bring it.
