Trek Life is a man on a mission.  Touring Europe, doing shows on both coasts, dropping projects in between, and still making time to drop in at an in-store.  Recently Trek teamed up with J. Bizness to bring you Rhymes Within Reason.  This 10 track EP is produced by J. Bizness and with Trek on the mic, you can’t go wrong.  There’s a handfull of special guest appearances by Oddisee, Ragen Fykes, and DJ Buddy making Rhymes Within Reason ON FIRE!  Rhymes Within Reason is one of 3 projects that Trek is dropping this year, so keep your eyes & ears open!  Also keep them open for my man J. DON’T SLEEP!  Right off the bat this is DOPE!  Blame One recently dropped Mr. Science Presents Leaks & Gemz and since then I have played the whole thing every day (sometimes more than once). Blame One – I Keep Tell You!

Starship 27 took off with no delay on Saturday. The listening party was held at Fatbeats (LA) and hosted by Houseshoes. There were performances by Snowman Jack, F.A.M.E. (Teeko, Max Kane, & Ivan), and Dibia$e. The party didn’t stop there. On to BOOMBOX!!! Boombox is coordinated by the one and only Inka One. Oddisee hosted the event for the evening with special guest with flows Trek Life. There were DJ sets by J1 aka The DEER, HouseShoes, Inka One, One Man Jazz, DJ Sean O, & GroWeyez. With all that talent you think it would be enough, nope. They also had beat sets by F.A.M.E. & Dibia$e. And you know Dam Funk did a little of everything. It was dope. Everyone stayed until Grand Star was closed. It was a great night. Just watch the videos!

I hit up the fam at Fresh Selects to see what was going down, and was given the heads up on an exclusive…Free Money mini mix.  I got Free Money from Kenny last night, and stayed up until 4am rock’n it. This mix was put together by DJ Buddy and Trek Life. Free Money is chill but with an upbeat tempo adding to Trek’s flow. This one will definitely go into your heavy rotation playlist.
