I don’t want to say anything that’s going to land me in hot water with female emcees, but DAMN can you spit like that?!? I gotta ask the fellas that too, because Josie Stingray shows she’s a dope emcee. Just play it again and listen carefully. “Give me a beat I’m a show you how my teeth work. Call me a B, and you must mean brilliant.” You all know I’ll be digging up more stuff about her for sure. Josie Stingray, kicks, and the Honor Roll… sounds like a good mix to me. The hypnotic beat and the crazy lyrics, I can’t stop watching this video. Open Mike Eagle is having Nightmares, but should be on cloud nine with this video. The video goes from Open Mike tossing and turning in a blue/green hue of light. “I went to bed at midnight, and the clock said 1, 2, 3.” switching to a black & white with a shot of him at a free standing mic. Hopes & Dreams is a dope track. I’m really feeling the concept and how the video was shot. It makes me want to catch a cab with hopes of finding a girl who needs a ride. Kendrick Lamar (EP) is another one I’ve had in heavy rotation on the ipod. Is It Love is the track that pulls you in. There’s a lot of good stuff coming from the West, and Kendrick Lamar is adding to the count. Keep killin ‘em. The first time I heard of Jerome D was when he shot that Carter Video, and I knew it wasn’t going to be the last time. Kendrick Lamar’s She Needs Me is another dope video from his latest projects. A while back I connected with Adikt1 and with Kahlee & Uptown Swuite they put out The Seed. These cats stay busy. Kahlee hit me with this dope video, Live On Stage by Krazy Race (ft. Kahlee). Live On Stage has a classic hip hop style to it, so I was feeling it right away. I was digging the graff walls in the background, and hip hop heads rocking to a dope beat. For most of y’all I don’t have to tell you who Houseshoes is, but for those of you sleeping under a rock he is Hip Hop! To the point, laid back, real, Detroit, and all around good dude are just a few ways I would describe Houseshoes. From killing it DJing to making ill beats this is the guy to know. A while back I got this track called Castles by Houseshoes. Since then I’ve been keeping an eye out for whatever he drops, even podcast. Unlike other podcast, Houseshoes’ reads more like a resume and list of his friends. I’m amazed of all the projects and the people he’s worked with. Be sure to check out The Makings and keep your eyes and ears open for his LP, and look for him at Shoes House (Blue Monkey Lounge) in Hollywood. BIG thanks to Houseshoes for taking the time.

Saturday morning (afternoon for everyone else) chilling with no plans. turned on the computer and checked email and twitter to see what’s the buzz. I read DJ Neil Armstrong’s tweets that he was chilling at The Block in Orange. I hit him up to see if he was down for an interview, and he was like “Come on down.” I jetted from Pasadena to Orange in under an hour to bring you this great footage.
